  • Today is the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's all cross our fingers that they can fix my ac today and I will be nice and cold tonight. I have an am appointment with them so here's to cool ac by the afternoon. Oh of course if they do fix it I will be closing up the house and going away from it for a bit to let the ac do its job.


    Hope everyone had a safe and happy new years. I personally was in bed asleep by 11:30pm. Did not make it to midnight but since people here are allowed to spend as much money as they could never have on fireworks I sure as heck knew when it was midnight.  But I was so tired that I didn't get up and go look out the window or anything. My poor cat was freaked out all night long. I kept telling him it was only going to be a few more hours of the noise. He would run and hide upstairs and then come back downstairs and try and hide. Then start all over again. He wouldn't even be comforted by me. Baby didn't care much for all the noise either. I smelt some of the sulfur after  I went out to eat and got a headache that had me changing my plans from going to the neighbors across the street to staying home and sitting in my chair. So much better I think.


    Then yesterday I had lunch/dinner with them. We had ham, mashed potatoes, rolls, black eyed peas and yams. I tried the black eyed peas. First time ever. Not that bad but not the thing for me either. But hey I tried them and that is all that matters. Didn't eat any of the yams either. But I am not a yam fan. Then after dinner they all went to watch Hawaii lose the Sugar bowl and I came home for a nap. They couldn't believe that I wasn't going to watch the game. I don't really like sports and really don't care about Hawaii's football team so why should I waste 3 hours of my life watching it. If hubby was home that would be a different story. But he is not so I watched what I wanted to watch and knew that Hawaii would not win. I told them I would know how the game was going by how loud or quiet the neighborhood was. Well let me tell you yesterday it was so quiet I probably could have heard people whispering to each other 3 blocks away. Hehehehe Oh well the team made it to a BSC game so that is something to be proud of. But come on did they really stand a chance? No not really. Yes they had an undefeated season but they really didn't play anyone that was "hard" for them to beat. Yes a couple of games they had to play hard but for the most part no they didn't. Just my opinion.


    All righty off to finish surfing the net for now. Then it shower and hurry up and wait for mainteance to come and fix my ac unit. Don't worry you will know how it goes. I will either be really happy or really pissed off later.
