  • So my weekend has gone great so far. Saturday after I got off work came home and relaxed before meeting friends at Outback. It was her birthday and hubby and I were the surprise people at her dinner. She was surprised and we all had a lot of fun. Gave her the gift from her online quilting friends and this was the expression we got from that

    Yeah not the best photo but that was the expression after seeing her gift from them. So now it is time to go shopping and we will be doing that on Wednesday morning.


    So then yesterday we went to ride on the only real train on Oahu. Way back when they used trains to transport just about everything from the fields to the processing plants. Now it is a ride that you can do every Sunday and it is 13 miles roundtrip on the Army transport cars that were used back when trains were used alot.

    Isn't it neat? We sat in the car right behind the engine. That was a mistake. Note to self next time sit in a different car. So that was my weekend so far.


    Today is doctor's appointment and then a few errands after that. Then home to do some sewing.

  • I love her expression!  Priceless! 

    The train is cool.  I like trains!  I rode an old steam engine train once.  All the cars were from the way back.  You could flop the seats to make them sit all facing one way or flop 'em the other way so that you could face the folks behind you, if you wanted to chat.  And the windows in the cars didn't have glass, they had thick material shades on tracks that pulled down to block the window.  Very 1800-ish.   :)   I enjoyed that trip.

    Trains are cool.  My weekend was boring, but then they usually are.  I hope to have time to email/blog again soon!
