  • So our 4th was lots of fun. We enjoyed everything up until the fireworks. The parade field we were sitting in had a huge tree that was right next to and behind the stage for the National Guard Band and that was where the fireworks were going off. Most of them did not clear the top of the tree and there was no music along with them. So boo hiss on that part. But the real cannon fire with the 1812 overture was great and the flag ceremony was really neat as well. So all in all a good day with friends and fun.


    The only thing that sucked was getting off base after it was all over. But that was lack of planning on the Army's fault. So oh well.


    Then Thursday and Saturday I shop hopped!!! Went with my quilt teacher Dawn and we just had tons of fun. I now have a list of 11 different quilts that I want to make. So let's see how far I get on that list. Some are presents some are just for fun. So a busy little sewer I will be. She also has a list and it is longer than mine! Must get to sewing.

  • You're just a regular quilting bee!  I finally figured out what to do for your birthday. 

  • Sounds pretty ok.  Your trouble getting off the base sounds like the trouble we had getting of the NG base here after the air show last year.  Good grief.  It's really not that hard to direct traffic!  It was a cluster and all because of poor planning.  At least the military's consistent!
